I first met Egreis Gjergjani (from thestilettomeup and designer & owner of the children’s clothing boutique Itty Bitty Toes) in 2013. She and her husband Jeremy were expecting their firstborn, George (Gio). They were one of my very first Kansas City birth photography families! You can find George’s birth story here.
In July 2015 I was with the family again as they welcomed their second son, Charlie. His birth was very fast! From the time they arrived at the hospital to the time Charlie was born it was less than an hour! You can find his birth story here.
This spring Egreis contacted me- she was expecting again, this time a little girl!
Knowing how quickly her previous labors had gone, I planned to leave for the hospital as soon as she called that she was in labor.
On the night Ivy was born, Egreis messaged me that she was having some contractions. They contractions continued and she decided it was time to leave for the hospital. I met them in triage and she was soon moved to a labor & delivery room.
Ivy’s delivery went a little slower than Charlie’s and there was time for Mom to get an epidural. We went from darkness to early morning’s light as she labored down.
It wasn’t long before it was baby time! Ivy was born quickly and into her momma’s arms!
Scroll down to see some of my favorite moments from Ivy’s birth and check back in the next couple weeks to see Ivy’s Fresh 48 session and birth story video!
